THE ROLE

Based in Brisbane, as a Lead Electrical Engineer you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing workgroups and projects related to the delivery of System Design for a diverse range of clients. You will also be responsible for:

• Manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and support throughout project lifecycles
• Conduct technical analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate project requirements and propose innovative solutions
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply them to enhance our services and offerings
• Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide regular updates on project progress

ABOUT YOU

You will be a highly skilled and motivated engineer, with a proactive and innovative mindset, constantly seeking opportunities for business development and introducing new market trends and innovations. As a successful candidate seeking a long-term role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Expertise in Power System analysis, including Load flow, Short Circuit, Protection Coordination, Arc flash assessment, and Harmonic analysis (ADVANTAGE)
• Proficiency in some OR all of following software packages: SKM PTW, ETAP, PowerFactory, PSCAD, and PSSE 
• Experience in HV and LV Substation Design, encompassing primary and secondary systems (ADVANTAGE)
• Extensive experience in developing reports, specifications, and technical papers in a professional engineering environment
• Demonstrated experience in managing electrical engineering projects for clients with successful outcomes
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a proven ability to guide and support junior engineers in project work, designs, and technical problem-solving.
• In-depth knowledge of International Standards, Australian Standards, and relevant legislative requirements.
