My client is a leading Australian company specialising in advanced control system solutions. Their expertise spans a wide range of services, from electrical engineering and design to integrating business systems and providing data analytics, delivering end-to-end support for diverse industrial needs.

THE ROLE

Due to exceptional growth, my client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their Gladstone office. In this role, you will be responsible for designing technical automation solutions across multiple PLC and SCADA platforms across many sectors. Key responsibilities include:

• Taking a leading role in the design, development, implementation and commissioning of high-quality solutions
• Working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teams, involvement in progress meetings and client interactions.
• Assisting in business development activities as required, involvement in proposal writing and tender submissions with clients.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, you are a degree-qualified engineer with at least 5 years of proven experience in automation within sectors like manufacturing, water, oil & gas, or infrastructure. As a candidate seeking a long-term role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related degree 
• Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems, telemetry, RTUs, industrial communication, and network design
• Proven experience on Schneider, Rockwell, Siemens, or Ignition platforms
• Excellent relationship management skills with both external clients and internal teams
• Current Australian Driving Licence
