THE ROLE

Thanks to recent growth, my client is looking for a customer-focused Fitter/Service Technician to be based out of Melbourne. You'll be hands-on, ensuring the safe and proper installation, demonstration, and service of cutting-edge machinery at customer sites. Your day-to-day will include:

• Installing and commissioning new equipment
• Conducting servicing, repairs, and fault finding
• Implementing upgrades and modifications to existing machines
• Offering technical support and guidance to customers

ABOUT YOU

If you're passionate about industrial machinery and want to expand your skills, this role is perfect for you. Ideally, you’ll have experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining industrial automated equipment, particularly in steel processing. Independence, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills are key. Here’s what you’ll need:

• Mechanical Trade qualification or similar
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (preferred)
• Great problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously
• Willingness to travel extensively across Australia and New Zealand, with international travel once trained
• A valid driver’s license and Australian working rights
