The Position

As a Fabricator / Boilermaker within the Ground Support Equipment division, you will be responsible for the welding, cutting, and fabrication of ferrous and non-ferrous parts for machinery and hydraulic lifting equipment. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable materials, methods, sequences of operations, and machine settings.
• Operating machinery and tools safely and efficiently to produce components and assemblies.
• Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance on machines and lifting equipment, as well as overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.
• Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore, and drill supplied materials.

About You

We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of production processes and equipment operations, coupled with meticulous attention to detail. The ideal applicant will be looking for a long-term opportunity and will possess the following skills and qualities:

• Certificate III Engineering (Fabrication Trade) or equivalent qualifications
• Proficient in TIG, MIG, and stick welding techniques.
• Versatile experience across heavy industry.
• Experience with hydraulics (ideal).
• Current driver's license (must) and forklift license (ideal).
• Capacity to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Physically fit.
• Able to travel by car or air for onsite work.
