The Role

As a Service Technician, you'll be instrumental in achieving business targets through your exceptional technical abilities and commitment to customer satisfaction. You'll work closely with the Managing Director and sales team, playing a key part in developing and maintaining customer relationships to drive service growth. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assembling, testing, and troubleshooting a variety of valves and equipment, adhering to relevant codes and standards.
• Diagnosing and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, calibrating positioners, and testing control valves.
• Repairing and calibrating safety relief valves to ASME VIII code.
• Utilising measuring, test, and diagnostic equipment with proficiency.
• Providing prompt resolution to customer concerns and enquiries, both internally and on-site during field service calls.
• Maintaining accurate documentation for service orders and performing data entry into MYOB, SalesForce, or similar CRM applications.
• Engaging with and upholding company objectives regarding QA, OHS, and Environment.
• Traveling interstate and overseas as required for field service calls and warranty repairs.

About You

• Exceptional technical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in analysis, diagnosing, and troubleshooting mechanical and basic control systems.
• Highly developed communication and organisational skills at all levels.
• Strong computer literacy, including MS Office and experience with CRM applications like MYOB and SalesForce.
• A flexible, committed, and positive attitude, with excellent punctuality and reliability.
• A trade qualification (e.g., electrician, instrument tech, mechanical fitter) or a relevant degree is preferred.
• Experience in an industrial process control environment involving valves, instrumentation, and automation is highly desirable.
