THE ROLE

The Service Technician is responsible for in-field installations, commissioning, fault finding, and repairs of special purpose equipment across heavy industry sectors. You will display a high level of independence, deliver clear and timely communication while building strong relationships with key stakeholders. The key responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
• Site installation, commissioning of plant & equipment 
• On site, customer support activities including, writing service reports, ordering spare parts, etc..

ABOUT YOU

You will have a strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in interpreting drawings & specifications, with experience in fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment. As a successful candidate seeking a long-term role, you will also possess the following skills and attributes: 

• Certificate III or IV Engineering (Mechanical Trade)
• An understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and components
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients
• Have a current drivers licence and the ability to travel locally, interstate and internationally when required.
• Be physically fit for manual tasks e.g., lifting, bending, twisting, exerting pressure
