Lead complex field operations for a global EPCM Leader. Seeking a Senior Field Service Technical with proven expertise in critical rotating equipment and Compressors, and Gas Engines.

THE ROLE

Due to continued department growth, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to join the team out of Brisbane South. This position can either be based in Brisbane or Toowoomba, Roma etc. This position is responsible for the repair, maintenance and operational knowledge of Rotating Equipment, Compressors and Gas Engines. Key responsibilities include:

• Regular travel throughout Western QLD (Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles, Roma), plus 3-4 trips annually to Newcastle to perform maintenance on site
• Ensuring a safe work environment, conducting OHS&E and quality audits, maintaining equipment according to policy, and ensuring compliance with all legislative and customer requirements.
• Responsible for efficient administration, accurate reporting, coordinating the IMS Management System, and updating critical field-related documentation like JSAs and SOPs.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a natural leader capable of leading a small team from the front. You will also:

• Possess a Mechanical or Diesel Fitter Qualification/Trade or related discipline
• Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, able to engage effectively with management, staff, and clients, manage complaints, and negotiate skillfully in challenging situations
• Proven hands-on experience (4-5 years minimum) and deep, practical knowledge in the repair, maintenance, and operation of Rotating Equipment, Compressors (ideally Ariel and Waukesha), and Gas Engines.
• Must be prepared for and capable of regular, independent travel 
• Essential Certified Operator: Ideally possess the following valid certifications:
• Non-Slewing Mobile Crane (Greater than 3T)
• L.F. Forklift
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Ticket
• White Card (Construction Induction)
