The Role

Based in Brisbane, you will step into a pivotal Senior role. You will balance high-level technical delivery with the mentorship of junior staff, acting as a technical anchor for the team. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Technical Leadership: Leading the delivery of system designs, feasibility studies, and technical analysis for brownfield and greenfield projects.
• Mentoring: Guiding graduate and intermediate engineers, reviewing their work, and fostering their technical development.
• Client Engagement: Managing client relationships, providing transparent updates on milestones, and ensuring projects meet schedule and budget targets.
• Innovation: Keeping abreast of industry trends (BESS, renewables integration) and implementing best practices into the design workflow.

About You

You are an RPEQ qualified engineer (or close to obtaining it) who enjoys the technical challenges of power systems. You are looking for a long-term role where you can influence the direction of a team.Essential Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (recognized by Engineers Australia).
• RPEQ Qualification is highly regarded (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Demonstrated experience in Substation Design and Power System Analysis.
• Proficiency in industry software (SKM PTW, ETAP, PowerFactory, PSCAD, or PSSE).
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and legislative requirements regarding high-voltage systems.
• Ability to write clear, concise technical reports and specifications.
