The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will serve as a key technical resource, delivering end-to-end support for fibre laser cutting machines and CNC equipment. This is a field-based role where no two days are the same.

Your core mandate includes:

• Commissioning & Alignment: managing the full installation lifecycle, from setup and calibration to operational validation and beam delivery alignment.
• Technical Problem Solving: Diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults to minimise downtime and keep customer production lines moving.
• Client Success: Delivering operator training, providing remote support, and acting as a trusted advisor on machine maintenance and optimisation.
• Precision Maintenance: Handling delicate optical components (lenses, sensors, nozzles) and ensuring software parameters are optimised for peak performance.

About You

You are a self-starter who thrives in a mobile environment. You possess a strong "fix-it" mentality and the composure to troubleshoot high-tech equipment while a customer watches over your shoulder. You don't just swap parts; you understand the interplay between PLCs, drives, and optics.

We are looking for:

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience servicing fibre lasers or complex CNC industrial equipment is essential.
• Diagnostic Skills: A solid grasp of reading schematics (mechanical/electrical) and troubleshooting industrial networks.
• Field Readiness: A valid driver’s licence, a willingness to travel (locally and interstate), and the ability to work autonomously.
• Qualifications: Trade qualifications (Electrician, Mechatronics, Fitter) are highly regarded, as are high-risk work licences (Forklift/EWP).
