THE OPPORTUNITY & CLIENT

Be part of the next big disruption in the Australian mining landscape. Join a fast-moving, high growth venture backed by a strategic international partnership and the engineering might of a massive mechanical powerhouse. While the market has long been dominated by expensive, rigid suppliers, our client is moving faster and working smarter, delivering high-performance, semi automated drills that the industry is crying out for.

With 70 years of combined drilling experience and a fresh fleet of automated machines landing on Australian shores soon, this team is paving the way for massive international expansion and a planned ASX listing. They operate with a flat hierarchy where your ideas aren't buried in red tape; you’ll work directly alongside industry legends in a culture that values grit, innovation, and "getting it done."

THE ROLE

This is a true "end to end" engineering role. You're not just sitting behind a screen; you are the bridge between the design office and the mine site. With the first semi-automated drill arriving soon, you will be the lead on the ground for commissioning in not long after.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking the lead on the first wave of semi-automated drills as they hit the Australian market.
  • Working closely with specialist software partners to integrate cutting edge code with custom hardware.
  • Working on electrical and control drawings in the office/workshop to ensure "Australian Standard" excellence.
  • Providing critical on site troubleshooting and backup support when major issues arise.
  • Helping transform base machines into specialised, high spec masterpieces for the local market.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a rare breed: someone with a University Degree in Engineering who hasn't forgotten how to use a wrench. You might be a "country guy from the bush" or simply someone who thrives in a workshop environment and doesn't mind getting your boots dirty on a mine site.

  • A relevant degree in Control Systems, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • A genuine passion for troubleshooting in the field and working on heavy machinery.
  • Currently based in (or willing to relocate to) Western Australia to support the initial market rollout.
  • The ability to work without a manual. You are proactive, curious, and ready to solve puzzles in real time.
  • You’re equally comfortable discussing logic with software developers as you are talking shop with site based operators.

THE BENEFITS

  • Join a company on a steep growth trajectory with plans for an ASX listing within three years.
  • Attractive salary + Super (geared toward a motivated candidate ready to make their mark).
  • Work in a flat hierarchy environment with direct access to the original designers and business owners.
  • A perfect mix of workshop based engineering and high stakes field commissioning.
  • Be part of a team already eyeing major contracts in internationally
