THE POSITION

As the Technical Sales & Estimating Lead, you will step into a senior role leading the estimating function while playing a key part in shaping major client solutions, tenders, and sales opportunities. This is not a traditional estimating role; you will act as a technical authority and trusted partner to the sales team, directly influencing how complex projects are structured, priced, and won.

Your daily focus will involve:

• Leading the preparation of detailed, accurate estimates for tenders, major quotations, and complex integrated security solutions.
• Acting as a key technical partner to the National Sales Manager and the wider sales team to support solution architecture, system selection, and technical positioning.
• Driving pricing consistency, commercial awareness, and risk alignment across all major submissions.
• Identifying alternative solutions and value engineering opportunities to give submissions a competitive edge.
• Mentoring estimating team members, improving operational standards, and reviewing major submissions to ensure absolute technical accuracy.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a senior technical professional with a strong blend of commercial acumen and deep electronic security expertise. You are someone who thrives on solving complex technical puzzles and wants to move away from rigid, transactional estimating into a highly collaborative, strategic pre sales environment.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in a senior estimating, technical sales, or pre sales engineering role within the electronic security sector.
• Deep technical knowledge of integrated security systems, including access control, CCTV, and high security environments.
• Strong understanding of tender processes, solution architecture, and compliance for major commercial or industrial projects.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of partnering successfully with sales and delivery teams.
• A natural ability to mentor peers, uplift team capability, and champion best practice processes.
