THE POSITION

As the Team Leader Electrical MaintenancE, your role exists to lead and coordinate preventative maintenance, immediate breakdown repairs, and equipment installations of electrical instruments and equipment. You will ensure the plant remains fully operational and compliant with industry standards and codes at all times.

In addition, you will present recommendations for plant, equipment, or procedural changes to enhance safety, quality, and financial outcomes, while organising daily maintenance tasks and team rostering for your direct reports (managing a direct team of 3 within a broader maintenance team of 14).

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate rosters and daily maintenance activities.
• Undertake and oversee breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment installations on electrical instruments and/or equipment.
• Ensure internal calibration records are up-to-date and advise management of any outstanding external calibrations.
• Make recommendations regarding plant, equipment, and procedures to improve safety, quality, and financial outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records relating to spare parts stocks, engineering consumables, plant/equipment details, and spare parts identification.
• Perform all work in strict compliance with relevant safety procedures, standard operating procedures, environmental policies, food safety policies, and industry codes.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a professional, collaborative Trade Certified Electrician who adopts a flexible approach and takes complete ownership of their work.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Trade Certified Electrician (A Grade Licence / relevant electrical licence such as instrumentation, high voltage, etc.).
• Proven experience in maintenance and automated plants, with manufacturing or food production environments highly advantageous.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical instruments/equipment, read/understand procedures, drawings, and specifications, and maintain thorough records. Computer literate.
• Current A Class Driver’s Licence, Forklift Licence (Front End Loader licence advantageous), and First Aid Certificate (highly regarded). Relevant boiler operator’s ticket is an advantage.
• Q Fever Vaccination (must be vaccinated or willing to undertake the process upon commencement). Must have full Australian working rights.
• Capable of performing duties involving constant dynamic standing and walking; frequent arm reaching, neck movement, forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and handling tools/equipment up to 20kg.
